U.S. missionary doctors released from Atlanta’s Emory Hospital

Two American missionary doctors who contracted Ebola in Liberia have left hospital, after being declared free of the virus. Marking the first time Ebola patients had been brought to the United States, the two doctors were flown separately in a private jet specially outfitted with medical quarantine pods, to Emory University hospital in the U.S. state of Georgia where they were given an experimental drug that could hold the key to helping defeat a major Ebola outbreak in West Africa.
